NIGHTFIRE SupplierExpress for
DSL
NightFire SupplierExpressÖ software for DSL (version 2.0) is a product
that automates the traditionally manual ordering process between DSL retailersùInternet
Service Providers (ISPs), PC vendors, and Web portalsùand DSL wholesalersùCompetitive
Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) and Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers
(ILECs). SupplierExpress for DSL is the only product available that easily
integrates retailer and wholesaler operations to deliver exceptional service
to subscribers, including real-time pre-qualification, order entry, and
ongoing service management. SupplierExpress for DSL is a cost-effective
solution that scales with your business to support new product offerings
and geographic expansionùcritical factors for ISPs to be able to retain
their existing business while expanding their coverage areas.
Automating Service Management
The explosive growth of broadband technology demands that service providers
get services to market quickly, operate at peak effectiveness, and provide
excellent customer service in order to succeed. ISPs, PC vendors, and
Web portals must have a broadband service management platform that allows
them to work with multiple network and service providers, quickly add
and modify services, change service offerings and business policies, and
grow their customer base without interrupting service or replacing or
reprogramming their underlying structure. Automating service management
with NightFire helps service providers achieve these goals.
Using SupplierExpress for DSL:
- Increases revenues by making it easier for subscribers to order services
- Speeds expansion into new geographic markets
- Substantially reduces operating costs and errors
- Helps your OSS scale with your business through a flexible and scalable
architecture
- Improves customer satisfaction and retention by reducing service turn-on
times and increasing order tracking effectiveness
SupplierExpress includes:
- A uniform interface to all DSL suppliers regardless of the interface
standards or connectivity mechanisms they support. This provides you
with the maximum available automation and insulates your service representatives
from supplier differences. NightFire keeps SupplierExpress current with
all supplier interface changes as they occur, relieving you of this
burden.
- The ability to add new service provider interfaces (SPIs) with no
software reprogramming. Content components (interfaces to new providers)
are created using graphical drag-and-drop tools and added to SupplierExpress
dynamically.
- An open API and Router based on XML over CORBA. The API/Router enables
flow-through from order-entry and order management systems to the correct
SPI. The API can be easily integrated with commercial or proprietary
customer care, billing, and provisioning systems.
- Guaranteed delivery of all messages exchanged between service provider
systems.
- Customized and standard reporting capabilities through Crystal Reports
or other reporting tools.
- A user-friendly interface to manage the SupplierExpress product components
and infrastructure.
Regardless of protocol or messaging systems in use,
SupplierExpress insulates other systems and personnel from the complexity
of interface interaction.
Demo
The SupplierExpress demo is a step-by-step,
interactive demo that gives you a detailed, technical overview of the
software. The demo will walk you through a typical service ordering process
between a CLEC and an ILEC, pointing out the key product features along
the way. This demo is a downloadable executable file. (PC format, 847KB)
SupplierExpress for DSL provides a single, standard Extended Markup Language
(XML) interface to your upstream systems for DSL availability inquiries,
orders, and other service management functions, regardless of the supplier
involved. This provides you with the maximum available automation and
insulates your service representatives from different order message formats
and transport protocols used by different suppliers. NightFire is currently
working with a group of DSL providers, customers, and vendors to evolve
this interface into an industry standard.
SupplierExpress for DSL is modular, extensible, and based on major standards
including Java, XML, the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA),
and SQL (Oracle7 and Oracle8).
SupplierExpress for DSL is available now for automating DSL ordering
with Covad Communications. Interface modules for all other major DSL providers
will follow.. Product capabilities to address the needs of international
carriers will be added in the future.
